工房 環 は世界中から集めた木材を使って、ひとつひとつ手作りしている工房です。
せっかく世界中から集まった木材なので、捨てられそうだった端材ももったいなくて、細かく加工して寄木にしています。
木材は例え同じ樹種であったとしても、生まれ育った場所・陽当たりなどによって、加工すればそれぞれ違った表情を見せます。
工房 環 が作るものはそれぞれの木材の表情を見ながらひとつひとつ作るので、同じ品番でもふたつと同じものはありません。
Kobo KAN is a workshop where each piece is handmade one by one, using wood
from all over the world.
Since we have collected wood from all over the world, it would be a shame
to waste the scraps that would otherwise be thrown away - "Mottainai",
so we process them into small pieces and make them into parquet - "Yosegi".
Even if the wood is of the same species, Each of them has a different look
when processed, depending on where it was born and raised, the sunlight,
and other factors.
Each piece of product made by Kobo KAN is made one by one by observing
the expression of each piece of wood, so nothing is the same as two, even
if they have the same product number.
